Stainless steel for projects, fabrication and process
From architectural railings to process piping and export stock, ZAIHUI stainless steel pipe, tube and sheet serve buyers across construction, fabrication, fluid systems and distribution. This page maps common uses to grade, form and finish so you can specify with confidence.

Grade, form and finish follow the application.
Every stainless steel job is a combination of three decisions: the grade (how the material resists its environment), the form (round, square, rectangular tube, or sheet and plate), and the finish (mill, brushed, polished or decorative). Get those three right and the part performs and looks the way the project needs.
We supply 201, 304, 304L, 321, 316 and 316L, so most decisions come down to matching exposure and budget. As a rule of thumb, 201 is a low-nickel high-manganese grade suited to controlled indoor and cost-sensitive decorative work; 304 and 304L are the general-purpose workhorses for most interior and exterior applications; and 316 and 316L are molybdenum-bearing grades chosen where chlorides, marine air or chemical media are present. ZAIHUI helps buyers weigh 201 vs 304 vs 316 against the real service environment rather than over- or under-specifying — and the final grade, standard and finish are always confirmed from your RFQ.
Construction & architecture
Where appearance and durability share equal weight.
Handrails, railings, façade trims & decorative tube
Stainless steel is a mainstay of staircases, balustrades, balcony and lobby railings, entrance frames, façade and cladding trims, and decorative columns. Round and square decorative tube in a clean finish gives architects a durable, low-maintenance material that keeps its look for the life of the building.
Grade guidance: 304 is the default for general exterior and commercial work because it balances corrosion resistance and value across most climates. 201, a low-nickel high-manganese grade, is a sensible choice for controlled indoor decorative elements where cost matters and exposure is mild. Finish is as important as grade here — a brushed or mirror-polished surface defines the visual result.
Confirm at RFQ: indoor vs exterior exposure and local climate, the exact surface finish and consistency required, visible weld treatment, and any matching across batches for a single elevation.

Fabrication & furniture
Tube shapes and finishes that fabricators build on every day.

Frames, supports, doors, windows, signage & equipment parts
Workshops and OEMs rely on stainless tube for furniture frames, table and shelving supports, door and window profiles, signage structures, kitchen and catering equipment, and a wide range of fabricated equipment parts. Square and rectangular structural tube is easy to cut, weld and assemble into rigid frames, while round tube handles connectors and rails.
Grade guidance: 304 covers most furniture and equipment work, indoors and out. 201 is common for indoor, cost-sensitive frames and decorative pieces. Brushed and polished finishes are the norm so parts are ready to assemble with minimal further work.
Confirm at RFQ: tube shape and wall thickness for the load, straightness and dimensional tolerance, finish (brushed, polished, mill), and whether you need fixed cut lengths to reduce shop waste.
Fluid & process systems
Where the medium and the environment decide the grade.
Water treatment, process & utility lines, transfer piping
Stainless pipe carries water, process fluids and utility services across water treatment plants, food and beverage lines, light chemical handling and general transfer piping. Stainless is chosen here for cleanability, hygiene and long service life under continuous flow.
Grade guidance: 304 and 304L serve many clean-water and general process duties. Where chlorides, brackish or marine conditions, or aggressive chemical media are present, the molybdenum-bearing 316 and 316L grades give the extra corrosion margin that protects against pitting — and the low-carbon variants (304L / 316L) suit welded assemblies that must resist sensitization.
Confirm at RFQ: the medium and its concentration, operating pressure and temperature, the governing standard (GB, ASTM/ASME, JIS or DIN), and any testing or inspection your application requires before installation.

Distribution & trade
Repeatable pipe, tube and sheet & plate specs and export-ready stock for resellers.

Wholesale, replenishment & export stock
Distributors, stockists and trading partners need consistency above all: the same dimensions, the same finish and the same documentation order after order. With 130+ production lines and a manufacturer-direct model, ZAIHUI supports repeatable specifications and reliable replenishment for resale across markets worldwide.
Grade guidance: popular sellable specs concentrate around 201, 304 and 316 in common diameters and wall thicknesses. We can align your catalogue to the grades and sizes that move in your region, and keep the spec stable across reorders.
Confirm at RFQ: your standard sellable list, export packing format, material certificates and documentation requirements, and the replenishment cadence you want to plan around.
